This emotional triad gives them their temporary fix, a fleeting high to soothe their white-guilt complexes, but which will always betray in the end, as these are emotional smokescreens not based on substance or grounded in reality-based dynamics, but are merely deceptions, a feel-good illusion of reality, not its hard truths. The sadness is their addiction betrays us all equally in a collective societal deconstruction; with us, the non-addicted in a losing battle of survival, trying to rebuild the lost foundations that the addicted have demolished, and just like an addict, they do so without care or regret. God help us all.
