Kolejne grupy odchodzą od Faylaq al Rahman. Niżej tekst z reddita.

Two divisions of Faylaq al-Rahman, Liwa Abu Moussa al-Asha'ari and Um al-Qura brigades, have seceded from the group, forming the new *al-Majed Brigades* (ألوية المجد). They were followed by two smaller groups - Saraya al-Sham and the Muhjahideen Brigades.

Liwa Abu Moussa al-Ash'ari, one of the founding groups of Faylaq al-Rahman, announced the cancellation of their merger with Liwa al-Baraa, another founding group, thereby leaving only the latter and other, smaller brigades in Faylaq al-Rahman.

Announcement of the group's formation

This new group is around 50% of pre-split Faylaq's total strength (2,000-3,000 men), effectively dividing it into two. Indeed, Liwa Abu Moussa al-Ash'ari itself is composed of over 800 men.

It cites multiple grievances such as infighting with Jaish al-Islam and territorial losses as the main contributing factors to their secession.

However, Faylaq al-Rahman responded to the splinter by claiming the new brigade defected because they are sheltering members who attempted to assassinate Faylaq's leadership.

This is the second disaster to hit the fracturing Free Syrian Army alliance in recent months — previously, infighting between Faylaq and Jaish al-Islam in May-April 2016 reportedly left over 400 fighters dead on each side.

The event occurs after Jaish al-Islam recently agreed to coordination and dialogue with Faylaq al-Rahman. It is likely the split within Faylaq will ruin, or at least complicate the talks, meaning East Ghouta may have to wait even longer to see the fruits of unity.
