Cały Budapeszt od paru dni jest zawalony kolejną już antysorosową (i przy okazji antyunijną) rządową kampanią.

Ot, demokracja jak każda inna prawda?

Przy okazji: od miesiąca węgierskie media opozycyjne, interesują się intensywnie rolą śp. Arthura J. Finkelsteina, prawicowego amerykańskiego specjalisty od marketingu politycznego w stworzeniu czarnego mitu Sorosa. Finkelstein pracował m. in. przy kampanii Netanyahu w 1995, a od 2008 dla Orbana.

Jego długoletni współpracownik, George Eli Birnbaum, referuje to tak:

But once Fidesz, with a great deal of help from Finkelstein and Birnbaum, won a two-thirds majority and its opposition became powerless as the result of a new constitution and other administrative measures, the requisite enemy disappeared. Someone who not only controls a massive amount of capital but is the embodiment of it. He is a multi-billionaire, so powerful and so networked worldwide that the whole nation would have to gather behind Orbán to defeat him. This despicable figure, which had little to do with the real George Soros, was successfully created in Hungary, and from there it spread all over the world.

(...) Birnbaum is quite proud of their achievement in Hungary. As he put it in the article, if Finkelstein were an artist, Hungary would be his masterpiece. He raved about their accomplishment and the brilliance of the idea. “It was so obvious. It was the simplest of all products. You just have to pack it and market it.” As the author says in his introductory paragraph: “So was born a new antichrist. An old rich man, a speculator who caused the collapse of the British pound in 1992, the Asian crisis of 1997, the 2008 financial crisis. He destroyed the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia. He sponsors left-wing extremists, wants to overthrow the president of the United States, and lives from drug trafficking and financial crime. Even as a child he delivered Jews to the Nazis, although he is a Jew himself.” In the age of the internet, Soros became “globalized, freely available, and an adaptable open source weapon.”

PS: W samym wspomaganiu się najemnymi specjalistami od marketingu politycznego nie ma nic zdrożnego, u nas pierwszy robił to bodajże Aleksander Kwaśniewski w 1995. Niemniej, co innego wykolejanie kampanii konkurencyjnego kandydata, co innego tworzenie wielkiej figury Antychrysta z niczego (jeśli ktoś nie wierzy, niech sobie przeczyta "Społeczeństwo otwarte i jego wrogowie" idola Sorosa, Karla Poppera). To są już groźne zabawy.

PS2: Wiem, że źródła w tym przypadku są umiarkowanie dobre, wszystko opiera się na wyznaniach Birnbauma. Nie chcę szerzyć odwróconego foliarstwa i para-teorii spiskowych, ale niezależnie od tego, czy "Projekt Soros" zaprojektowali Orbanowi Birnbaum i Finkelstein czy ktoś inny, myślę że właśnie w ten sposób i z takich powodów skonstruowano tego villaina.
